Poker is a card game with a wide variety of betting rules. Each player has a number of chips (often called “pots”) that they can bet with. Players are dealt two cards, and the aim is to make a winning “hand” using their own 2 cards and the 5 community cards. The best hand wins the pot of chips bet so far. A player can also pass a bet without showing their cards (“checking”).<\/p>\n
A dealer is responsible for shuffling the deck and dealing cards to the players. The dealer is usually a non-player, but some games have a single player as the dealer. There are often rules for how the money won in a game is shared amongst players after it has finished.<\/p>\n
